Dr. Gabriel Ndimuyang Tanwani was born on May 26, 1960, in Ngwokwong Village, Momo Division, Northwest Region of Cameroon, to the late Tanwani Azah and Phebe Afor. He was the first of six children — five boys and one girl. Growing up in Ngwokwong, he developed at an early age the values of hard work, determination, responsibility, and commitment to family that would remain evident throughout his life.

He pursued his education with determination, ultimately earning the distinction by which many came to know him — Dr. Gabriel Tanwani.

In 1987, Gabriel met Helen in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Their friendship blossomed into love, and in 1988, they were united in marriage, building a life together for nearly four decades.

​

Gabriel treasured his family deeply. He was a devoted father whose life and experiences helped shape the lives of his children, and a loving grandfather whose bond with his grandson Zaylen brought him great joy.

Dr. Gabriel Ndimuyang Tanwani will be deeply missed, but he will never be forgotten. His family gives thanks to God for the years they were blessed to share with him and for the memories that will remain forever in their hearts.
